I am Assistant Professor at the Department of Physiological Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Florida since 2014.
I obtained a degree in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) at the Universidad Nacional de La Plata, Argentina in 1989. I began my research experience and obtained a Diploma in Experimental Pathology at the University of Tokyo (1992), a Master of Science in Veterinary Pathology at the University of London (1997) and a Diploma of the Imperial College in Pathology (1999). Years later, I obtained my PhD in Bone Biology at the Universidad Nacional de La Plata (2002). In 2002, I moved to the United States for Postdoctoral training at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences with Teresita Bellido and Dr. Stavros Manolagas. In 2005, I relocated to the University of Florida to worked with Thomas Wronski in bone research and bone histomorphometry. I completed a residency and took the exam to become Board Certified in Laboratory Animal Medicine in 2013. Since 2014, I have been working in my lab on research projects related with osteonecrosis of the jaw, and osteoporosis.
